Do you or your loved ones feel lonely, stressed, sad, angry, or confused? Do you miss your friends and routines? We are here for you!

The Philly HopeLine is a program of the Uplift Center for Grieving Children. It is a free and confidential helpline for grief and emotional support staffed by our Master’s degree-level clinicans. The Philly HopeLine is open to all youth and caregivers in the Philadelphia region.

Uplift’s clinicians, including staff who self-identify as Spanish speakers or LGBTQIA+, are available throughout the year. Uplift’s Philly HopeLine also includes an interpretation service for over 100 languages.

Yes, Uplift’s Philly HopeLine is a toll-free helpline.

Clinicians are trained in trauma-informed counseling, and support callers who are grieving the death of a loved one, are looking for emotional support, and are seeking support as caregivers or parents. 

Our clinicians are here for you as long as you need them! While average calls last 23 minutes, grief support and emotional support calls often last 35-40 minutes.

All HopeLine clinicians are mandated reporters, and always notify callers if they will need to place a call to Child or Adult Protective Services.

Yes, all students and their caregivers in the Philadelphia area are welcome to call the Philly HopeLine.

Yes. If you need resources or referrals to other agencies in Philadelphia, or need to access a crisis hotline, our staff can connect you to the most appropriate sources.

Yes, you can! Any voicemails left to the HopeLine will be returned within one working day.

Uplift’s Philly HopeLine will be closed the following dates in observance of federal holidays and office closures. Messages left during closures are promptly returned by clinicians.
