Teresa brings her extensive experience working in healthcare settings, with terminally ill families, launching innovating programming around environmental health advocacy, and in social service organizations throughout the region to Uplift Center. She joined Uplift in 2015, after working in a variety of settings, demonstrating a passion for working to build stronger neighborhoods and families. Teresa earned a Bachelor’s of Social Work from Temple University and a Masters of Social Work from Rutgers University. She has also completed fellowships with the Hispanic Women’s Leadership Institute at Rutgers University, the Environmental Leadership Program, and the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Agency Climate Stewards Education Project. Teresa currently serves as the clinician for the Northeast site and supports the South Philly grief groups. As Special Populations Coordinator, she is reaching out to the immigrant, migrant, refugee, and evacuee communities to offer caregiver grief support groups in neighborhoods throughout the city.
