A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice and Duke University School of Law, Darcy Walker Krause, J.D., LSW, is a passionate advocate for grieving children and families. Having lost her mother at 15, Darcy knows the loss experience intimately. Through her professional and research experience, Darcy focuses on a variety of facets of the loss experience, including the role of attachment in grief and its long-term trajectory and evidence-based grief and trauma models of intervention. Darcy speaks regionally and nationally on these topics as well as non-profit leadership. Darcy is Secretary of the National Alliance for Grieving Children’s Board of Directors and Secretary of the Philadelphia Coalition of Victim Advocates.

I try to focus on the small pleasures that bring everyday joy, including my children, exercise, and cooking.
